Sydney Brenner
Sydney Brenner was born on13 January 1927, he is a South African biologist and a 2002 Nobel prize in Physiology or Medicine laureate, shared with H. Robert Horvitz and John Sulston. Brenner made significant contributions to work on the genetic code, and other areas of molecular biology while working in the Medical Research Council Unit in Cambridge, England.

Norman George Heatley was born on 10 January 1911, he was a member of the team of Oxford University scientists who developed penicillin. Norman Heatley developed the back extraction technique for efficiently purifying penicillin in bulk. He died on 5 January 2004.

Atal Bihari Vajpayee was born on 25 December 1924, he is an Indian statesman who served as the 10th Prime Minister of India, in three non-consecutive terms, first for 13 days in 1996, then for 13 months from 1998 to 1999 and then from 1999 to 2004 for a full five year term. He is the only parliamentarian to have been elected from four different
states at different times namely UP, MP, Gujarat and Delhi.
