Thrissur Pooram

 

Thrissur Pooram  is one of the most popular temple festivals of the South Indian state Kerala. It is held at Vadakkunnathan every year on 'Pooram'  day of the Malayalam Calender month of 'Medam'. 'Pooram' day is the day when the moon rises with the Pooram star. In 2013 its Pooram is on April 21.

The World Digital Library (WDL) is an international digital library operated by UNESCO and the United States Library of Congress. The web site features free unlimited access to cultural material from around the world, including manuscripts, maps, rare books, films, sound recordings, prints, and photographs.
