Andre-Marie Ampere

Andre-Marie Ampere was born on January 20, 1775. He  was a French physicist and mathematician who is generally regarded as one of the main founders of the science of classical electromagnetism, which he referred to as "electrodynamics". He died on June 10, 1836.

Srinivasa Ramanujan

Srinivasa Ramanujan was born on 22 December 1887. He was an Indian mathematician and autodidact who, with almost no formal training in pure mathematics, made extraordinary contributions to mathematical analysis, number theory, infinite series, and continued fractions. He died on  26 April 1920.

John Wallis

John Wallis was born on November 23, 1616, he was an English mathematician who is given partial credit for the development of infinitesimal calculus. He died on October 28, 1703.

George Boole

George Boole was born on November 2, 1815. He was an English mathematician, philosopher and logician. He worked in the fields of differential equations and algebraic logic, and is now best known as the author of The Laws of Thought. He died on December 8, 1864.

Julius Wilhelm Richard Dedekind was born on October 6, 1831, he was a German mathematician who made important contributions to abstract algebra, algebraic number theory and the foundations of the real numbers, He died on February 12, 1916.

Niels Henrik Abel




Niels Henrik Abel was born on August 5, 1802. He was a Norwegian mathematician who proved the impossibility of solving the quintic equation by radicals and he died on  April 6, 1829.

Johann Bernoulli

Johann Bernoulli was a Swiss mathematician and was born on  27 July 1667. He  was one of the many prominent mathematicians in the Bernoulli family. He is known for his contributions to infinitesimal calculus and educated Leonhard Euler. He died on 1 January 1748.
