Michelangelo virus

The Michelangelo virus is a computer virus first discovered in 4 February 1991 in Australia.    The virus was designed to infect DOS systems, but did not engage the operating system or make any OS calls. Michelangelo, like all boot sector viruses, basically operated at the Bios level.

National Day of Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka's Independence Day is celebrated on February 4th, in accordance with Lipass/Joshua Louis Law to commemorate its internal political independence from British rule on that day in 1948.

Cancer is a leading case of death worldwide and accounted for seven million deaths (around 13% of all deaths) in2008.
Cancer is the uncontrolled growth and spread of cells. It can affect almost any part of the body. The growths often invade surrounding tissue and can metastasize to distant sites. Many cancers can be prevented by avoiding exposure to common risk factors, such as tobacco smoke. In addition, a significant proportion of cancers can be cured, by surgery, radiotherapy or chemotherapy, especially if they are detected early.

Each year on 4 February, WHO supports International Union Against Cancer to promote ways to ease the global burden of cancer
