25th Amendment to the US Constitution was adopted on February 23, 1967 and it was ratified by Minnesota on February 10, 1967.
Its purpose was to clarify presidential succession in case of death,
resignation, or disability. It deals with succession to the Presidency
and establishes procedures both for filling a vacancy in the office of
the Vice President, as well as responding to Presidential disabilities.
